Principal Activities
The main role of the Center for Innovation Systems Research (CISR) is to analyze the issues that society and industry will face in the near future as well as to analyze Tokyo Tech's competitive strengths in order to initiate research projects for the solution of problems framed in terms of specific solution issues. For that purpose, activities such as deeper comprehension and formulation of the concept of solutions research itself, the refinement of project promotion strategies, and the planning of frameworks for an initiation of appropriate research projects are also positioned as key activities. The CISR's activities further include the proposal of desirable systems for the appropriate operation and management of research projects, and the planning and proposal of reform for those cases that are not susceptible to handling by conventional university management.
