Strategic Research Area Healthcare and Medical Treatment

With the onset of an aging society, maintenance and management of health are matters of compelling concern for everyone. Improvement of the quality of life (QOL) by early detection of disease and treatment of diseases with less invasive manner are urgent issues for society. Immediate access to individual health records whenever required can contribute to proper diagnosis and early treatment. The Integrated Research Institute has therefore identified the issues of healthcare and medical treatment as an area of strategic importance, and is conducting the research projects below with a view to cooperation with government, medical institutions, and business enterprises.
